Took a break from sci fi models to combine the ancient art of armoring with the very modern medium of 3D modeling to create this take on a 14th c basinet and hounskull visor. Still in progress. The half scale test print fits the cat. Last pic is the reference piece, ca. 1370. Source in comments.

Boxing Day began in Montreal in the late 12th century. After being so polite for the entire year, Canadians everywhere are cooked on nice by Christmas. Thus, the next day, they *box up* all their Christmas stuff, because they are so done with that shit.

The solar array is really paying off. Since mid October, when the system went online, we’ve produced over 1.5 MWh. That translates into over a ton of CO2 not pumped into the atmosphere. Not bad, when you consider that it’s the least sunny time of year.
