That said, one of the side effects of LLMs is all the crawlers. It does make running a website more expensive. There have been crawlers forever but there are more than ever. And webpages have gotten larger on average. And they don’t like to follow the rules (robots.txt and stuff)

Yes. But im not sure “AI” is the culprit here. This is a long term trend. Google has been choking off traffic to sites for going on a decade now. And social media does the same.
