So very thankful I could flag down a snowplow guy willing to do my driveway on the fly. 40 bucks was a small price to pay to be able to walk tomorrow!

I'm calling this exciting news. The use of lasers for communications will be a game-changer when it comes to data rates and bandwidth, since the greater power density at range for the same transmitter power output means a more complex signal can be used.
