You are all familiar with immune checkpoint inhibitor-associated pneumonitis. Adagrasib inhibits KRAS G12C and is used to treat non-small cell lung cancer. It can also be associated with pneumonitis. Need to rule out infection first. Discontinue adagrasib and treat with corticosteroids.

Mayo Clinic CME Infectious Disease Updates. Successful session on Infections in Hematology. We discussed advances in the diagnosis and treatment of fungal infection, duration of treatment for febrile neutropenia, complications of CAR-T cell therapy, fusariosis and breakthrough aspergillosis.

Aspergillus ustus tracheobronchitis. Necrotic debris within the airways. One month post-transplant for ILD. Breakthrough on posaconazole prophylaxis (level 832 ng/mL). Susceptibilities are pending. How would you treat?

Aspergillus was named by Pier Antonio Micheli, an Italian priest and biologist. The molds resembled an aspergillum, a holy water sprinkler.
