Do you want to know how weird the Indian car market is?

The Kia Carnival was launched in 2020 at just around Rs 25 lakh onwards -- with the top-spec 'Limousine' priced at Rs 35 lakh (about 40k USD).

They updated it with new styling, more features, and a price tag of Rs 60 lakh (~67k USD).

Wtf.

Love it.

I had a quick chat with the owner and became friends. Not that I am charming, but some people are genuinely nice -- and don't mind talking to me.

He drives an ex-USA MGB and an ex-Australia Mini Cooper. Both remarkable machines, if at the opposite ends of the fun motoring spectrum.

😃 Bet it was fun on the move, though?

I really like the MGB. The one featured on The Car Cult was originally a US car, converted to RHD, and brought back to India when its owner retired.

Re pushing, in hindsight, you could have just taken some inspiration from Detective Bullitt...

Alt: Scene from the film Bullitt with cars jumping as they go down the road in SF -- or wherever it was filmed. I am not IMDB.

The photos are not as cool as yours, though. That's a hot MGC.

I'll do that. Soon.
Can't thank you enough.
