When Benny went to get his second set of extractions done, it felt like they were insisting upon trimming his claws. I declined and they seemed surprised. I just didn't want him to exit the procedure feeling defenseless since he has no more teeth.

I don't think that time alone heals all wounds, but it does help heal some of them.

The lack of empathy and abundance of dismissiveness I've seen in the field when conversations about pain and/or weight come up are extremely frustrating.

I had a point where walking left me in enormous pain. I went to one doctor whose main answer was "stop being fat" and just...didn't ask anyone else about it for a long time.
