I am pleased to announce that we have received our first grant to do quantitative research into legal problems in Quebec compared to the rest of Canada. We are looking forward to learning more about how Quebecers experience these important issues.

I am looking forward to teaching "Data Science and the Law" remotely as part of the Masters of Arts in Law program at @CollegesOfLaw in Santa Barbara in January. If anyone has thoughts on must have content, I'd be interested to hear them!

I got home from Portugal last night and remember we ran out of olive oil before I left. This feels like it takes going out to get something and forgetting to bring it back to a new level.

I’m looking forward to the ICAIL Conference on legal informatics in Braga, Portugal next week, but in the meantime I am enjoying a couple days in Lisbon on the way.
