Who has forgotten the almost-$800,000 investment property Ley bought while on a taxpayer-funded trip to the Gold Coast, purchased from a Liberal National Party donor?

A highly-paid sinecure with fossil fuel industry when he 'retires' and an expectation he'll make enough money to buy a bunker for his kids?

On the day of these events (early hours of Saturday 23 March 2019), according to the reports at the time, it was not known that Brittany was alleging rape. To Reynolds - based on security member's understanding of it, from seeing Brittany there - sex had occurred in her office.

It's being sold as convenience and they're starting with 16 year olds so that, eventually, no one will have a choice about using digital ID. They've hit on this after their voluntary system was a dismal failure, just like MyHealthRecord.

This guy wasn't motivated by anti-semitism, either. Surprise, surprise www.abc.net.au/news/2025-11...
Sydney man offered $1K for role in anti-Israel vandalism spree
The court heard Thomas Stojanovski was financially motivated to help fund his illicit substance abuse for an injury he was dealing with at the time.

IMO this is a concerted effort by rightwingers on 'both sides*' to ram through legislation they'll be able to use to their advantage in the future. Any time they co-operate it's obvious they see how they'll be able to victimise and villify specific groups when they get the chance.

This ConnectID is just the undercover means of forcing everyone to give up all their data, privacy and biometrics so any government from now on can just cut people off without having to bother with dull old boring legislation that can currently be stymied by a few decent people trying to protect us.

Forcing everyone to have a digital ID is why governments are banning teens from social media. www.biometricupdate.com/202511/snap-...
Snap selects ConnectID, k-ID for Australian age verification | Biometric Update
Snap Inc. has tried (unsuccessfully) to argue to Australia’s eSafety commissioner that it is not primarily a social media platform, but a messaging app.

I was horrified to see her on Sky News denigrating people who object to this awful change of legislation. She stated that objectors were appalling for supporting individuals accused of violent and domestic crimes. Hearing blatant right wing rhetoric out of her mouth was shocking.

What a surprise it will be when this re-entry to Australian light entertainment just happens to result in Durie hosting every available program that fits that description.

Looking at it from an entirely selfish POV, this event occurred in her office. A place where she has to work for many hours a day. No-one wants to be in a space where other people's sex has happened on their furniture. I get it, on that level, but that does not justify destroying a crime scene.
