These are all VERY good points and align with my values as well—I think in the broader conversation about accents/voices as a GM skill people potentially expect we missed pausing for the nuance on this one. Great call out.

I'm definitely with Phil on "established characters are patrons." In fact, that's built into The One Ring, with the PCs having one or more of the various established characters as a patron, and the group getting slightly different benefits depending on which patron they are working with.
