I have approximately zero following on this app, sharing in the hopes it can get in front of the right person. A man I went to college with’s wife was kidnapped by ICE at a green card hearing, and he’s trying to find a reporter who will speak to him about the situation

If you enjoyed a game on Itch, leave a comment!

Honestly, it really brightens a creator's day. And it's a big encouragement for others who may be interested in getting that game.

Itch hides reviews from the game page, so I find comments more useful in the long run.

Like a game? Comment away!

By golly I checked our social media! Maybe this is the beginning of reliability! (Probably not but I love you all anyway.)

Hey friends! I’m sorry to tell you there will be no episode next week (Jun 18)—Phil will be out of town for the unexpected funeral of a family friend. If you want to send him some love, please do! We’ll be back to our regularly scheduled programming the following week.

Said it before on twitter but if you're signing up for someone's patreon on iOS please DO NOT use the patreon app, just use a web browser instead

The iOS app charges an extra fee that goes right into apple's pockets IN ADDITION to them placing a 75 day hold on the money before we even get it
Another reason not to use the Patreons ios app when supporting creators, Apple will not give us all the money you spend

Hey friends! There won’t be a new episode of Panda’s today because we had some ~life stuff~ that we failed to account for correctly and did not record. No one is hurt and we’ll catch you all next week on our regular schedule!

Shout-out to my old D&D group for the GM I am today. Running six hours of 5e that I thought I would be a player in until I was literally driving to the game made me incredibly good at improv.

I'm definitely with Phil on "established characters are patrons." In fact, that's built into The One Ring, with the PCs having one or more of the various established characters as a patron, and the group getting slightly different benefits depending on which patron they are working with.

@dnaphil.bsky.social and @senda.bsky.social have an interesting topic here, talking about playing IN established IP, what characters from those IPs show up, and if you play characters from the IP or not.

Speaking of getting caught up on Pandas Talking Games, @dnaphil.bsky.social and @senda.bsky.social are talking about collaborative world-building and how to approach it, how much to do it, and what it looks like. They touch on published settings.

(As an aside, we can’t ALWAYS be serious, so while our game was in an underwater kingdom with the mermaid queen, we did have the Narswol.)

I’m late on this, but @pandastalkgames.bsky.social going through Gary Gygax’s ideas on player mastery and GM mastery is a lot of fun for #TTRPG players of a certain age. Also recorded write around the election…it feels like all podcasts recorded at that time have something like a geological line.

Folks. The Engine Publishing line of GMing books is currently a Bundle of Holding: bundleofholding.com/presents/Eng...

These books cover various GMing topics from plots, NPCs, prep, improv, campaigns, and table play.

They are one low price for a short time.

Being the most valuable player at any #TTRPG table means:

1. Play to lift up

Listen to what people say about their characters and play as if that is true. Is someone charismatic? - let them persuade you. Is someone a badass fighter? - talk them up, act like it's true.

You will make someone's day
