At peace, if still slightly annoyed. Seattle writer/editor, fueled primarily by coffee, lip balm, and ice cream. She/her. I’m mostly here for the cats. And the books. And the feminism. And the X-Files. Bigots can go pound sand.
When he’s pantomiming how to load it, watching Ralphie…man, tears every time!

I had a pair of litter mates who bickered and tussled every single day, but I could always tell when the winter was truly upon us because they’d cuddle just like this, out of nowhere.

I always felt like Lena took everybody, including Diana Ross, to SCHOOL with that number, such that “”Home” was Diana’s doctoral exam.

I was 8, with my dad. The Star Destroyer went on and on and ON overhead, and my dad muttered “Whoa,” mostly to himself. His awe, informing my awe, is my first really transporting movie memory! (Bambi was my first movie in a theater, but I had to be carried out during the forest fire scene😂😱)

It's clear from the article that ICE is *miserable* here. They're freezing their asses off and being harassed everywhere they go. Property managers aren't allowing them access to rental properties and people know their rights and aren't letting them in.

KEEP IT UP.

My mom and I sobbed so hard after Ponette that we couldn’t find our way back to the car for several minutes—just stood on the sidewalk in front of the theater, hanging on each other and wailing.

I didn’t realize this myself until just now looking it up: there are TWO! I haven’t been through this station since before this was installed, maybe? Either that or I was exiting beneath it and never looked up, like a dope.
