Democracy is only as strong as the people — and leaders — who believe in it. The latest Gallup/Kettering survey is a wake-up call. While most Americans believe democracy is the best form of government, 4 in 10 don’t think leaders are committed to it. That’s a leadership failure we can’t ignore.
