For day 14 of #Lexember, I'm starting with the Conworkshop prompt for once to let my ideas for Miles' prompt stew a bit. The CWS prompt is "Things you would NOT want to receive for your birthday", so time to add some common words that are kinda gross to #Lasat.

Well, it doesn't quite fit the prompt, but it'll help with the next word:
kara /ka.ɹa/ v. to defecate
This is a priori, it felt like it ought to be a very basic word.

krachas /kɹa.t͡ʃas/ n. faeces, excrement
from kara (above) and chasmo /t͡ʃas.mo/ adj. filthy, dirty

Conworkshop's prompt for today was "Midsummer words". I already have a word for summer in #Lasat, imyal, but I think dust season is a little different, perhaps encompassing parts of what we'd consider autumn and spring as well. #Lexember

Today's #Lexember prompt from @conlangery.com was "A word for an animal sense/sense organ". I'm pretty sure #Lasat speakers would have whiskers - most non-great ape mammals do. On the other hand, they're not native to earth, so don't share the whiskered common ancestor.

Finally, the r/conlangs #Lexember prompt is "semi-precious stones". Chluga is pretty badass, tbh. Also, fellow Star Wars nerds (or people who've been near me in the last, like, 3 or 4 years) can probably guess where the word for "gold" comes from in #Lasat....

In universe, this is the origin for dhejan /ðe.d͡ʒan/ n. yellow (colour). Out of universe, the colour word came first. Chicken, egg.

I'm sure I saw a factoid somewhere that in one language, lapis lazuli is called "mother of gold" or something similar because of the gold flecks. But I cannot find any hint of that in my usual sources. If you know more about this, please let me know!

For today's r/conlangs #Lexember prompt, "Aggregate". #Lasat is a Star Wars fanlang anyway, so when I saw the chance to translate a Star Wars meme I took it. So what if "coarse" and "rough" are the same word? I worked around it.

from gara /ga.ɹa/ n. rock, stone and rosk /ɹosk/ n. sand, sediment, dust

And from that we also get:

grosku /gɹo.sku/ adj. coarse, rough, abrasive

The opposite of that is:
