The Wood Ducks came back. They are very shy so I waited until after they finished eating, then quickly and as quietly as I could, snuck out on the deck and got this picture. If you zoom in you can see the gorgeous plumage of the male with the less flamboyant but still very pretty female just ahead.

Things calmed down a bit so I took my camera out. I only saw the Mallard drake but managed to get a blurry glimpse of a Wood duck photobomb. The Mallard, being very protective, kept station between me and his mate (there but unseen) the whole time.

Buster and Dazzle. Both rescues came to us on the same day from different situations. Buster is always a happy gentle boy. Here he sleeps protectively with Dazzle who was not well.

Bluesky now has over 10 million users, and I was #843,420!
They suggested I brag a little. I’ll only indulge a little because the same thing happened with Twitter. I don’t know if I ever knew my number there, early days of BlackBerry and SMS tweets. Too much of an Ouroboros feeling to cut loose.
