I had some BIG issues with the Control Beam in the first and second zones that lead to some serious rage, and I hope the later areas lay off it a bit (thankfully there was only an instance in zone 3 that didn't bother me near as much)

Yup. Still have a working VCR, but I've yet in the last 4 years to find a local LD player. Shipping them is just too costly and usually damaging to the players (as the only one I bought was subject to...)

If I had one complaint thus far its anything involving the Control Beam. I cannot guide that thing to save myself...

So far, I'm not bothered by Miles, he feels like an ordinary guy stuck in an extraordinary situation, and makes Samus feel more badass while showing she's not cold to helping weaker people.

More or less lol. There's like one thing I really need to have an inverted control over (I always have to invert Y in FPSs), but I don't think it's among the settings, unless I'm misreading it.

I popped it in for a couple hours, too. Having a hard time controlling one of the abilities, but everything else has been nice. Even on Switch 1, the game looks gorgeous.
