Today, under the cover of the Liberals tearing each other down, Labor has approved another coal mine extension.

Extending Middlemount to 2044 means Labor has now approved 35 fossil fuel projects.

In the middle of the climate crisis, they're approving more coal & gas.

This is several levels of disturbing.

"revised calculations found the loads on the two piers were "significantly higher (up to 100 per cent higher)" than initially thought"

Is not the same as:

"continued to perform as intended under normal operating conditions"

Let his blood boil. Police brutality is unacceptable
Tony Abbott still the worst PM of the 21st century.

He thinks the Sewell fanboys who have flooded the police force should be praised for punching middle aged white collar men. #auspol

No joke: I got angry hate mail today for writing an obituary of a Black woman scientist—because the person felt she did didn’t deserve the recognition.

Which just makes me want to share it again: www.nature.com/articles/d41...
Gladys Mae West obituary: mathematician who pioneered GPS technology
She made key contributions to US cold-war science despite facing huge barriers as a Black woman.

Watching the #BBC series "Human" on the #ABC and despite being produced in 2025, has so far no reference to the 2017 discovery of Australian First Nations people being here 65,000 years ago, whilst apparently including information that's from more recent research.

Why is that?

If jury pool selection is random from the electoral roll, how is it possible for one person to be randomly selected multiple times over five years and another person not at all for 75 years?

What are the chances of a jury room having jurers who have done jury duty before, let alone more than once?

Fuck you people. Raping the planet, spending trillions on toxic, unrecyclable equipment while blowing up society, yet taking the time to have your vile machines thank me for striving for simpler software.

Just fuck you. Fuck you all.

I can't remember the last time I was this angry.

What will it take for the #ABC to stop treating people who are hard of hearing like second class citizens?

For months I've been reporting broken and missing Closed Captions on iView and their response has been poor to put it mildly.

It's like CC is a distant afterthought, if it comes up at all.

The thing I rarely see discussed is that these Assumed Intelligence implementations are now purposefully being used by companies to actively reduce their workforce, further suppressing workers' rights, reducing wages, increasing the wealth gap and destroying the environment while they're doing it.
