I started from a tall cube, inset the top, then extruded down Z 😭 Are you suggesting something like drawing a plane and then using solidify at the last minute?

This is a screenshot from my actual Backpack Backlog last month! It's not much prettier, but it uses the same colours as my irl backpack 😅 So the metaphor lands for me. I also find that the colours really help.

The templates in the spec are utilitarian and ugly. That's the nature of a spec unfortunately. I'll definitely create some pretty templates in the future, and publish community made ones.
