Tried to figure out how to automate various color adjustments across multiple images. Cut out most of the bells and whistles, so no blush or extra shading on these. Still, they look good.

I cannot imagine what mine would sound like. A pacifist pushed to violence. Utilitarian? Like, it has come to this and I take no pleasure in it. Now perish.

First, let's make a custom gradient called Stripes.
Set the gradient tool's repeat to alternating and drag it from a higher position to a lower one. The smaller, the more stripes.
Do the same thing on a Modulo Shift - Continuous layer and... Boom!Checkerboard!

If anyone is wondering what art program I use, it's Krita. It's open-source, free, compatible with Linux, and supports Python plugins.
Of note, however, are dockers. You can customize everything about Krita's layout. They can be toggled individually under Settings > Dockers and moved about freely.
