A hell of a lot of what happens in America affects the rest of the world. Especially when the same oligarchs who control the American Executive are trying to take over in the UK, the EU, Australia, Canada, and lots of other places.

A comment on American politics is a comment on world affairs.

American politics affects a lot of other countries too. Its neighbours, its allies, the countries it accuses of trafficking drugs to it. If trump can make claims that European countries want him to rule them, people from European countries can have an opinion about that!

Considering US politics is literally affecting every country via tariffs or immigration etc. everyone is most definitely entitled to an opinion.

People love reminding me that I'm not allowed to post about American politics cause I'm not American.

Even ignoring the problems with that concept in general, my wife is American, their family all lives in America and one of my brothers lives in America. I'm allowed to care about their hell hole.

Trump’s demolition of the East Wing violated statutory law.

He ignored the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, the National Environmental Policy Act of 1970, and the Historic Sites Act of 1935.

Remember when we were not losing jobs in droves, or at odds with all our allies, or attacking other nations for their resources, or deploying masked thugs to terrorize our citizens, or pardoning drug traffickers and violent criminals in exchange for bribes?

It was only little over a year ago.

when you dig into the history of menswear, you find the same stories repeated. men who moralize traditional aesthetics rarely consider how their "tradition" was considered a corruption by an earlier generation, who wore things hated by people before them
