i think inevitably portal bump might reduce her usage of swears but while you can take a pony out of manehattan you cant take the manehattan out of the pony. its always gonna be there.

this is atleast part of why im excited to finally be leaving the 'setup' period for portalsparkle fic-wise. the moment Bookmarks is completed theres no fucking turning back.

Even so, just from the fact characters like PB and Selene exist, it *will* inevitably cause a butterfly effect into the future in certain plots even if they’re not there physically in the moment. Some I’m aware of and have plans for… and some I don’t!

That’s the fun of the PortalSparkle AU for me!

Part of why PortalSparkle is a repeat of the timeline is because it means that any changes to episodes won’t come from the FiM cast - they’re the same as you know them! My rule is if anything changes, it’ll be because of new factors that didn’t exist prior, like Portal Bump or Selene Moonlight.

Hell, don’t even get anyone started on Twilight’s ascension. Magical Mystery Cure was by all means not perfect, it desperately needed more time to do what it wanted to do, but I’m not going to change the events of MMC itself just because I can, there should be a *reason* to these changes in the AU.

What about the School of Friendship? You can *really* tell it was forced upon the show and it caused the writers to stumble in the first half of Season 8, but I think they figured it out by the second half! It’s not perfect, but having foresight of it’s existence will allow me to plan for it better.

Is Twilight’s Castle good? It’s a mixed bag, it doesn’t have a proper defined space like the Golden Oak Library does, but I’m not going to *remove* or *replace* it. I still like it and IMO there would’ve been logistical issues to Twi’s having the Castle of the 2 Sisters instead but thats irrelevant.
