hundred line last defense academy is the best game i have ever played. it is also the worst game i have ever played. this entire 205 hour experience was an absolute roller coaster and I have so many thoughts but also cannot say like, anything.

I think it's really interesting that the sheer state of things is a motivator not only for the three young lords, but Rhea as well, who is desperate for her divine (and literal) mother to rise from the dead and sort things out.

Adrestia is so corrupt its Prime Minister is throwing children into the dissection chambers for the Slitherers, Faerghus is buckling under the weight of its own outdated chivalry ideals, and the Leicester nobles can't stop killing eachother off.

Shit is dire from the word "go", everywhere.

I think you're absolutely right here, yeah. It's a good shot and an evocative moment on its own but it definitely undercuts the "there is no right answer here" sentiment that I think gives the endings much of their weight.
