More than 200,000 Danish citizens have signed a petition to buy California as a response to Trump’s attempt to take Greenland.

They say they will provide Californians with “rule of law, universal health care, fact-based politics, and a lifetime supply of Danish pastries.”

If there's one empirical insight I'd want everyone to understand about American politics, it's this:

America's problems are solved problems. Just not here.

What would change if the US simply matched the average of 31 peer democracies? Not Denmark or Norway. Just the middle of the pack. 🧵

Best Twitter riposte of the day. I started the morning looking at mass protest videos uncertain whether I was watching Minneapolis or Tehran. Turns out it was both.

We need to be honest with ourselves: We are in a class war. A small number of billionaires are grinding all Earthlings into the ground.
Whatever Socialism's Sins, It's Capitalism That Threatens Life on Earth
The question is no longer whether this system is failing us, but whether we are willing to confront the power structures that depend on that failure.

Pundit's bewilderment over legacy media is always fascinating because the answer is staring them in the face. Legacy media are mouthpieces for the billionaire point of view and for Israel. Look at what they don't cover. And how they spin what they do cover.

If McConnell had allowed the GOP-controlled Senate to impeach Trump after January 6, 2021, none of this would be happening.

Republicans MUST be punished for their corruption and the damage they're inflicting on the United States by losing their seats in Congress.

In case you’re wondering whether the pro-ICE reactions to Renee Nicole Good’s murder are natural, here’s a comment that was just left on my video. My video about anti-transgender bias at the BBC. I haven’t made a video about Good yet.

Over four decades, the NRA et al softened the ground for the current authoritarian takeover. My hope is that their silence in the face of the government tyranny they screamed about for all those years will bankrupt them in the eyes of the public forever.
I want to point out that the NRA and other anti-government groups had been screaming about the threat of "obey or die" for decades. Yet now that we're here, crickets. That's because they were softening the ground for the present moment.

A Black man was killed by ICE (off duty) in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve. And like Renée Good, he was an American citizen. But most people have not heard about Keith Porter.

I need y’all to realize this. Black people experience this lack of visibility all the time when it comes to being victims.

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.
