We took the whole family to see WICKED: FOR GOOD! Its great! After seeing the musical this summer, I was nervous about if they could land this flying broomstick, but I think that this expanded 2nd part fills in a lot of holes. Brilliant film.

I watched NOUVELLE VAGUE which is a fun film experiment doing a pseudo-documentarian approach to recreating the filming of BREATHLESS. It feels alive and charming. Worth a watch!

Ethan and I watched THE RUNNING MAN in IMAX! It was fun, though a little bit tonally inconsistent. Glen Powell goes really big, but the other parts are pretty underwritten. Some good action sequences. Some bad CGI. Could've been great, but undercooked.

We watched FRANKENSTEIN as a family! Phenomenal film! Every technical piece of the film Is a masterwork. I think it's in my top five for the year. Oscar Isaac is tremendous. Jacob Elordi is heartbreaking.

I watched A House of Dynamite! There is a lot that is very good in this film, but it leaves so many threads hanging in the wind. I think there's a point to that decision, but it also makes it fail as a narrative. Still worth a watch!

I watched THE PERFECT NEIGHBOR in which Geeta Gandbhir reconstructs the killing of Ajike Owens using primarily police body cam footage. It is a thoughtful and harrowing film that is well worth watching, a contender for best documentary this year.

I watched ROOFMAN! It was very touching and sweet! Channing Tatum is super good in this one, and it's a very nuanced performance. Kirsten Dunst is also great. Highly recommended.

I watched STEVE! It's a really unsettling film, and it's a movie about teachers that I think actually gets teachers. It's frenetic and incredibly stressful. Ultimately I was left wanting more with the ending, but I don't know if that's a weakness or strength
