It was a year ago today that Maggie Mae I, aka Maggot, passed away. Though she was old and we knew the time was coming it was still very hard on us. But time has helped to heal the sadness and now we can look back on our time with her with happiness and much love. ♥️
I tried to brush Eleanor earlier, like I did her sisters, before all the Thanksgiving guests arrived. And she wasn’t having it, at all. Just touching her with the brush resulted in her screaming, like she was being murdered! It makes me wonder what goes on when she gets groomed. 🤔

I had a lot of fun hosting my Island of Misfit Toys friends for Thanksgiving another year, but it sure is a lot of work. I told Danny I think I want to eat out for Christmas this year and do absolutely nothing food related ourselves.

We surprised my mom tonight at the little bar she goes to with her guy friend. She called me earlier crying that it was a year since dad died. I told her she was two days off, to enjoy the moment, and I would let her know when it was time to mourn more than usual. It seems to have helped.
