Genuinely thought fisting was some editing trick for the longest time when I was a younger gay. By the time I learned it wasn’t, I only found it impressive.

When they texted out the fat Zohran attack ad, my entire friend group chat became an absolute horny mess

Posting in the comments for more visibility but this is all wack nonsense and they are basically lying even by their own metrics

Quoting cause I’m going to be Posting™️ and others have said it better than I, but this is all a bit bunk.

There is definitely a story about testing results not being available, the state of the supplement industry in the USA, heavy metal pollution, or switch from plant proteins. That isn’t this.
I think all of us who lift should read third article in full and think about it.

Quite simply put the article is inflammatory, poor science, and is creating a big scene about the wrong thing to be focusing on with regard to the supplement industry.

Not to even get into how they are intentionally obtuse about protein intake and the demographics that drink protein shakes.

Using their own provided data, they’re claiming a BLL of 0.52.
The average BLL is 0.855 in the US which is 60% higher than their own data.

BLL also only starts becoming a concern at 20mcg/dL. That would be consuming 500mcg of lead a day!

Taken at face value this seems scary, until you actually see the data they’re referencing. The 8.8mcg/day has a safety factor of 10x because this is a reference for babies, children, and pregnancy!

The blood lead level doesn’t even become of note until you are consuming 100mcg/day!

They’re right in that any lead consumption is unsafe. But they are actively burying the lede in that they arent using Prop 65, most definitely for legal reasons, and the limits they are using are specifically for children and pregnant people as lead is a larger issue for child development vs adults.
