These are fair rebuttals. I think however the part of the article about why we consume protein shakes is worth pondering. If supplements are rarely necessary then the risk/reward ratio skewes towards risk.

And we somehow (in THIS era) find it easier to dismiss knowledge about 19th century ways of knowing then we do say about Neuroscience. When 1) there's a lot of unconnected Neuroscience happening and 2) WAYS OF KNOWING IN MODERN NEUROSCIENCE WILL BREAK YOUR MIND IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT

The thing is, almost no knowledge is too niche if thought about and connected appropriately. My PhD is on the locomotor mode of a bunch of mammals that have been extinct for 53 million years. But it says something about evolution, responses to environmental change and so on 1/2
