I think both opinions are valid to a degree - there are chunks of the film that either don't make total sense or don't land well because of the work reshot.

Are you assuming he can just drop his name into every potential by-election that may or may not happen and have him win it by default? If he doesn't, he'd clock up as many defeats as Farage.

Maybe London is a macrocosm with a large # of MPs per square mile so there's overlap, but an MPs job should be to represent their constituents in Parliament.
How does that square with living nowhere near them? Everyone rightly criticises Farage for representing Clacton, despite rarely going there.

I guess half the problem is that successive MPs throw all these easy under-arm throws because they think it's a quid-pro-quo.

I think I have watched every episode *once* via osmosis (we had Sky at home & my NTL package at Uni also had Sky One, so it was *always* on) but I have had no desire to ever watch it again with intent. I know at least 3 people who religiously watch it on repeat every year. Such a strange phenomenon.

You're probably correct, but the reshuffle was basically just musical chairs and Ms Mahmood made it to Home Secretary as the music stopped.
It just doesn't make sense how she seems to be publicly repeating all the worst moves that others in that position have made for the past 15 years.
