Fridge usually. It changes the structure of the starch such that they cook up sweeter in some applications but it has never bothered me enough to not do it.

I was starting to doubt myself so I just looked it up on the official Little Free Library organization site and they agree - it's a take a book, leave a book situation. They advise trying to leave one in the same library or another library on the area when you can.

I feel like it's a lot less serious than you're making it out to be. I've given my fair share of books to LFLs, and I've only once ever seen an empty one. I think the system is working as intended.

I agree on not taking all the books but I personally think it's perfectly acceptable to never bring one back.

I gotta be honest, it has never once occurred to me to return something to a LFL. My understanding was they were not intended for that.

So far we have pledges of 70/475 for Betty, who just aged out of foster care, to get microlocs.
The donation goes thru a reputable org. I will be pooling the money and providing documentation of the donation. Just collecting sincere pledges before collecting money.
