The game is about glory, it is about doing things in style and with a flourish, about going out and beating the lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom.
Not watched the match back, but at the game, could not see for the life of me what they were looking at for our goal (apart from "are Liverpool OK with this?") and the reaction from everyone of our players for theirs is usually a strong sign of something being up.
Genuinely appealing officiating.

Thousanded.
To dare is to do. Avoiding risks is in of itself, a risk, etc...

Hard at using ai models for rapid near real time analysis. Go hard at the medical and sports science side (assume we already are). But don't hire loads of people to build and maintain a proprietary platform, that's not going to scale, the people will.

Is big, betting money is orders of magnitude bigger when you think about max analyst / data eng budgets.
My take.
Go hard on coaches. Get some forward deployed analysts from the stats / modelling companies. Build models on their data, but augment with in house data for reinforcement learning. Go..

I have reasonable experience in this field.
1. Data engineers. In London, make a lot more than that.
2. The principle of using our fiscal advantage is sound.
3. Building out a best in class analyst team makes sense but there is a reason that you have specialist companies. And, while football money..

Yeah, I'd be excited by him, think he could lift this squad a couple of places from their mean/potential. Which after all is all you want from a manager. + a couple of players we could even be good.
If he's not available I suspect we stick. Just hope we buy technicians not bruisers if we do..
December 15, 2025 at 9:04 AM
I lied. Milo missed 2 zeros. We'd be 10k% better..
December 14, 2025 at 10:26 PM
I think you missed a zero there..

The patterns are what worry me the most. We are soooo static. And that's coaching. Recently our only real lateral movement (aside from Xavi, who plays 10, so even nuno would let roam) is spence inverting. We are so vertical it makes my eyes bleed..
December 14, 2025 at 9:01 PM
Yeah. Lots of chat during Prague. Are we (finally) playing ball, or are they just shitter than Fulham and wolves..
December 14, 2025 at 5:56 PM
That was genuinely such a painfully nothing performance I just stopped watching the last 5 and got on with Sunday roast. Very tempted to skip next sat.. 2 home wins, starting to play creative players, and then...that..
December 14, 2025 at 4:30 PM
Yeah, that seemed as close to "you don't know what you are fucking doing" as you get nowadays (well. Salah aside..)
December 14, 2025 at 4:10 PM
This. The lack of rotational / 3rd man runs. Just so so static.
December 14, 2025 at 3:04 PM
I think gray should have realised, he ran, called for the ball and scanned.
But, Vic can see exactly where the press is from and hits an underhit bobbly pass which lands gray in it. Some blame on gray, waaaay more on Vic.
December 14, 2025 at 3:03 PM
Yes. Also yes tomorrow. And day after.
I'd even take him at half time Vs forest despite deep jol scars.
December 10, 2025 at 10:36 PM
It really was almost comically bad and obvious.. and carried on all match!
December 10, 2025 at 10:34 AM
It was good fun compared to recent matches.and also, empty, weird atmosphere, and generally not actually great football
Big up frank ball...🥳
December 10, 2025 at 12:20 AM
He also gave 0 foul throws despite Marshes u11 levels..
December 9, 2025 at 9:57 PM
I'd like to replace bentancur...
My dream land would be 3 from: Wharton, bergvall, gray, sarr, madders, Xavi (poss kulu too)
And yes, all too easy to go after shiny toys and block paths for existing talent. stronger case for that on left IMHO - buy savinho and when do odebert, tel or Moore play?
December 7, 2025 at 10:17 AM
Yeah, Woolwich losing, and seeing a reasonably front footed selection when team news made for a happy trip to the game and then we played decently. Had almost forgotten that spurs at home can be fun!
December 7, 2025 at 10:11 AM
Yep. Only thing I'd say differently is we could and should still buy spurs players. And specifically a passing cm.
But 100% agree if *Frank players* = physical beasts, no thanks.
December 7, 2025 at 10:08 AM
Wharton, Savinho, youngish LB
Even frank could play good football with that squad.
But we absolutely must not go big on any lumps with limited technical ceiling. To be fair Frank's fave player at Brentford seemed to be daamsgard. So maybe he does care about more than physicality and duels 🙏
