The game is about glory, it is about doing things in style and with a flourish, about going out and beating the lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom.

Nah. Spence was poor and were he fit, udogie would have been better.
Hardly the only poor performer, but not having that anyone other than Vic did well..
Your commitment is appreciated.
Hopefully you can get what you need at 1.5x speed or above too...
If the Lewis' really want to take a swing at this, it feels a fairly obvious and doable one
(he says as if spending 200m is like popping to the corner shop and saying fuck it, it's Friday, I'm getting some crisps and a chocolate bar with the bread and milk)
There were quite a few singing Thomas Frank, get out of our club on the way out of the south yesterday.
Sacking him would be dumb IMHO but we could really use a decent performance Tues & vs utd.
Paulinha/bentancur - 5
Bergval/sarr/gray - 7
Xavi/maddison - 7/8
Odebert/tel/rkm - 6/8
Solanke/tel/richy/rkm - 6/7
Kudus/kulu/johnson - 8

So I'd say we need a passing deep cm. Left back. Left wing. Striker. Upgrade Gk.
I'd also say that squad RN should be able to pass a ball without any new faces..
Has to be priorities though. Baleba or Wharton feel like the bigger unlocks. As much as I'd love to see kudus and semenyo. Also have kulu coming back to consider.
My take on the squad right now
Vic/kinsky - 6
Udogie/spence - 6
VdV/?/vuskovic - 7
Romero/danso - 8
Porro/spence - 8
Probably the most frustrating and technically poor I've seen since nuno
Is this going to be a 4-4-2 withe a midfield diamond??? I do not understand...
Find some Christian gross era spurs. That's the worst of tbe horror shows..
Yeah. Or expedite by changing a section marked for safe standing, seemed a smart compromise. Etc.
Whoever wrote that CFT survey is in my mind unconnected with these guys, and, I'd rather have shit atmosphere than a bunch of undertone of racist bs. (and I'm being nice there..)
Totally. My point was just the people I think organising this (vs latching on), went to a lot of lengths to try and make a change without alienating / being twats. To have a decently loud section you do have to do something to move people together. But that can't happen over night / match by match.
But that's a mile away from the CfT stuff in their survey about moving out "tourists" which was at best clumsy. At worst the intent was what everyone read it as. IMHO sitting more vocal people together in south stand is good. Policing how you support the team, bad. 🤷
To be fair I don't think the CFT lot are the same as song sheet or ROTS. The stuff shared that went to the club was saying create a new standing section (lower south where it was designated for safe standing but isn't now), and consult with fans there about moving or not. I'd be v.behind that
What the fuck. The degree to which this sort of crap is normalised by the media and politicians is disgusting. Hope the dickhead got the book thrown at him.
Nah. Gross. Always gross.
Poss Graham, trophy or no, he was the antethesis of football for me growing up. 1-0 to the long ball team.. Hated him at ours more than I think any other manager (even late "club signing" era conte, which I think was more rank than moureen. Though it's close..)
Yes. It's the Titans version of knocking one off (and definitely not, yet, another, typo...)
Yeah, Exactly. I do think that there is a responsibility on coaches, tactician etc. The whole wankonng over how great arteta is at OOP and being "street smart" had a pretty obvious conclusion. Gooners ruined football (again). Maybe that should be the title of a book? Graham->arteta. Same shit.
Feels like both? Like, Xavi underhit that pass where they nearly scored. But been lots where the ball died a lot faster than you'd expect.
Pitch does seem very very slow
Was just saying that. Or 4-2-2-2 with Johnson and kudus rotating in alongside RKM?
Haha.. Was going to say, hard to be on the stating xi AND the bench !
Yeah, don't get me wrong. My very, very, very strong preference is Dom comes back and we start doing radical shit like passing through that acre of space in the middle of the pitch and having 3rd man runs and all that crazy stuff that seems to have been replaced by long bombas..
I wonder if ultimately RKM would be better suited than solanke. Bit more pace and (at least in European leagues) decent in the air?
That said I love do, think he's underrated, but agree that doesn't feel our current play would work well for him.
