Same here, but it's actually this one that unlocks music for the bike, the vi-o-la amiibo just lets you change the bike's color

why did i do this

I think someone may have mentioned it on a previous stream, but Germs: Nerawareta Machi would be a really interesting one to play. Japan-only open world first-person horror game that got a translation patch somewhat recently

Man I really wanna include Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth, Team Ladybug is definitely indie, but I guess it technically wouldn't count since it's based on old anime

Actually not the case! Rune factory switch 2 edition is on a proper cart worldwide. You might be thinking of the daemon x machina sequel which is a GKC in asia and a proper cart in the west

I made my own list for this recently (mostly just games from my collection or that I plan on buying, so definitely not complete)

Video Game #2: Zelda Link's Awakening (2019 remake)

Link's Awakening is a very special game to me and this didn't quite do it for me. They clearly put a lot of love into it, but certain parts just didn't come together. It's beautiful in it's own way, but not as magical as DX.

Movie #14: Dragon Inn (1967)

Wuxia films are such a fun time, and this, being one of the pioneers of the genre, is no exception. It's got the campy fight coreography, some sharp and funny dialogue, a girlboss, and the pacing is just perfect. I'll definitely be watching more of King Hu's stuff.

Movie #13: Weekend (2011)

Interesting snapshot of early 2010s gay culture in the UK. Didn't exactly find it ground breaking, but it's a good look at the perspectives around queerness at the time. Odd how some things changed so much so quickly, and how others are still the same all this time later

TV Show #2: Pokemon Season 1

Surprisingly I really didn't watch much of the pokemon anime as a kid, but watching it now I can appreciate the humor and vibe of it a lot. I swapped between the dub and sub a lot and they are very different, yet equally iconic somehow. New comfort show for me tbh

Movie #12: Gundam GquuuuuuX Beginning

Really promising start to this series. That first episode caught me off guard in the best way possible and really blew me away (despite already knowing the premise)
I'm a huge fan of Tsurumaki and Enokido's work so I have complete faith the show will be great

Japan has it too, but so far only for exclusive games, Switch 2 Editions are the same price digital/physical

Why does it kinda look like

Movie #11: Sex and Fury (1973)

So this is pinky violence huh. For an exploitation film, I was pleasantly surprised at how artfully it's shot. The sex part didn't do much for me but the fury was cool. Ocho and Christina slayed. Real girlbosses tbh. Also that one random gay dude was a great addition.

Movie #10: Saint Seiya The Heated Battle of the Gods (1988)

Gonna be honest, I know basically nothing about Saint Seiya and I just put this on to test out my new speakers for my CRT. Battle Shonen isn't really my thing and this didn't change my mind, though I like how it's a brisk 45 minutes long.

Movie #9: Fatal Fury Legend of the Hungry Wolf (1992)

It feels like every one of these Fighting-game-anime-movies ends up as the same sort of well-animated but ultimately forgettable schlock. Sure it was an enjoyable enough watch, but it felt a bit like junk food. Maybe the other 2 will be better?

Movie #8: Digimon The Movie (2000)

Damn, these movies really deserved better treatment. Stitching 3 unrelated movies together, cutting out a whole 40 minutes of them, and completely replacing all the music, what could go wrong? Everything.

At least the individual films finally have proper dubs now

Movie #7: The Fantastic Adventures of Unico (1981)

Yet another shockingly lavishly animated 80s Sanrio film. I was also surprised to see Kawajiri in the credits, but it kind of makes sense considering how gothic and dark the film gets at points, pretty intriguing all around.

Movie #6: The Sea Prince & The Fire Child (1981)

Really interesting 80s Sanrio film. It's your standard romeo and juliet tragic romance story but it's got that old sanrio charm and polish to it. Reminds me a bit of their Unico films, but even more ambitious. English Dub isn't half bad either!

Movie #5: The Colors Within

They're just like me fr

Such a wholesome and sweet movie. I was worried it might make me cry and I've never been happier to be wrong. It's just a low-stakes, feel-good story all the way through. Music is incredible, and the dubbed songs made it even better.

Movie #4: Mononoke: The Phantom in the Rain

Utterly astounding follow up to the original show. The disorienting and experimental directing style is back and even flashier now. The animation and overall aesthetic is just jaw droppingly beautiful and wonderfully contrasts with the tone.

Movie #3: The Secret of NIMH (1982)

What an incredible film.

It's equal parts serious and funny, terrifying and uplifting, and just mesmorizingly beautiful.

It may leave many questions unanswered, but the uncertainty plays into its themes, and invites you to keep pondering on those ideas.

Video Game #1: Picross S2

I freaking love nonograms dude

For context, I've played all 9 Picross e titles on the 3ds over the past 2 years, and I'm just now getting to the switch titles. On to Picross S3!

TV Show #1: Sailor Moon (Season 1, Viz Dub)

Idc that there's only like 6 episodes of actual plot, I love seeing what antics the girlies get up to every week.
Fr tho, it's funny how many people rag on SM these days for being filled with tropes when it was what popularized those tropes to begin with.

Movie #2: Persona 3 The Movie 1 -Spring of Birth-

Finally got around to watching this. It's been about 10 years since I first played P3 and I somehow haven't properly watched these movies until now.

First one's pretty cool!
