2. Cobalt Core

Describing it as a combo of Into the Breach and Slay the Spire is 100% accurate, but it didn’t ignite the same spark in me those games did. It’s very smartly designed, so its quality isn’t in question. It didn’t hold my interest longterm.

My favorite AAA game in quite a while. Machine Games captures the spirit of Indiana Jones better than anyone could have hoped, plus created a fantastically intimidating yet pathetic villain. Dazzling combo of sim and cinematic gameplay.
