Focussing on what the victim is wearing, ok.

Please enforce the law on all road users rather than this nonsense.

What are the maps?

Would love bike bunkers to be looked at here where they work best. They seem to be concentrated in areas with terraced houses? We do have some areas of terraced houses in DLR, but much much less than DCC. Most common housing type here is semi-D with side access.

I'm looking for the council to support more estates and apartment developments with this project, so let me know if you're living in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown and interested to know more.

What do you think? Is it worth it to increase parking charges and council rents without seeing any improvement in services next year?

I'll continue to work on improving things for my area, but it's likely to be harder to get basic services now with FG&FF's mismanagement of the council's finances.

The spending increases your local FG councillor is ecstatic about, will not improve local services.

After inflation & population growth, spending on libraries & street cleaning will be down next year.

Spending "increases" like housing & parks will be swallowed up by inflation and growth in demand.

A large supermarket near me would see a €500 per month increase and the small café next door would pay €18 a month more.

Relatively small costs for the businesses to absorb. Certainly a better option than increasing rent by €18 a month for people on disability.

To balance the books this would be funded by a minor increase in Commercial Rates from 0.214 to 0.221, still much lower than Dublin City's rate of 0.289.

DLR also has a generous and progressive rates refund for small&medium sized ratepayers.

The rent increases Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil are imposing on people will mean an extra €4 a week for people on Disability Allowance or the State pension.

The Local Property Tax cut this year saved the owners of €1.4m homes that same €4 a week. How is this fair?

The Green alternative budget for 2026:
- no increase in rents* for 4,000 households including council and HAP tenants
- no increase in parking charges
- no increase in Ballyogan Recycling Centre fees
- no vacancy subsidy for commercial building owners
- increase in funding for community events

Fine Gael & Fianna Fáil had the chance to spread the load, but chose to target people on low incomes to balance the books.

Why? They simply don't care about people who are truly struggling right now. They showed who they are: they voted to prioritise big business and owners of expensive homes.
