He/him. Brooklyn. Enviro/urban/municipal stuff but in a shit poster way. Slowly becoming Soccer Pilled.
Though one of them may actually be the Port Authority, now that I think about it. I'm not 100% sure. Either way, NYC is the job center for the off shore wind. It's good, permanent union work. I'd think we want it.

I suspect any mayor would be in favor of off shore wind because the obvious reasons, but also service leases all go to the city coffers.

Not many wind farm plots in NYC. But we already have the facilities to service and build them set up under EDC at Industry City and Staten Island's Arthur Kill Terminal.

Generous return policy, tho. If you have whole foods near you, it's almost stupidly easy.

How can you be sure? The empire couldn't even tell Martok WAS a changling!

I just had a funny moment where I realized I don't know a single person in real life that would have any clue what this is.

I thought it was a PETA ad for a sec.

Employment and mods for some, unemployment and slow burn world building for others.

Republicans won't do the right thing ever until the wrong thing impacts them personally.

I tried to come up with a pun for that device, and I settled on

Hacking my PPC to fraudulently email my boss to say I have a stomach bug and need to take a sick leave day whenever I'm just not feeling it.

To be fair, sewer rent is a thing that some communities figure out, and they basically charge it based on how much you put in the sewer (usually estimated based on water usage), and the average person comes out way ahead, while places like restaurants and laundromats get fucked by it.

No accounting for trends in style, except to say they are largely temporary.

I mean, Apple watches felt that way to me. Totally unnecessary except for reading heart beat or whatever. And sales of those is high, but declining year over year.

Sure, you want health data from your work out. OK. This product can do that as well as other existing products. Maybe it is more comfortable to wear?
November 28, 2025 at 9:18 PM
Ultimately? Yeah, I guess. I think they spent enough money getting influencers and athletes to wear them that it carved out some redundant market interest from things like Fit Bit. But that doesn't blow open some new multi billion dollar avenue in my opinion.
November 28, 2025 at 9:16 PM
Personally, no. I can see how there is a niche for those personal health tracker kind of things. I'm really just commenting on the proposed use cases the CEO is talking about. While interesting, I don't see those uses driving greater sales, as they are redundant with other devices that we all own.
