And so deleting posts/art/comments when a writer acknowledges that something was made for/from their work is just so utterly crushing. Why should I bother to share when everyone's enjoyment is apparently conditional on my ignorance that other people might like my work?

IDK if we all just think fic is trash at this point and no one can enjoy it, let alone acknowledge that publicly (see: the refusal to leave kudos on AO3 fic) but it's really demoralizing as a writer. I write things I want to see and I'm very happy when others enjoy them too.

That’s good! Draw anything that interests you - you’ll learn some new things that you can incorporate into other art etc. Or take a look at art that inspires you.

If you’ve done it once you can do it again - art is not a linear process and is full of ups and downs, don’t let a swing discourage you ❤️
