I’ve been meaning to do this since New Year’s but fuck it — between moving, constant fascism every day, and a new job in a real office, I’ve been busy.

So starting this week, I’m doing my Game Of The Week! I play a lot of games, and I’m passing my experience on to you.

Game Of The Week 6 of 2026 is: Cairn

I don’t know if I like this game.
It is beautiful, atmospheric, and has a very in depth take on climbing but it’s also kinda tedious and frustrating at the same time. I find myself playing in small doses but I do keep coming back because I just like the puzzles!

I thought it was a red flag that no one complimented my earrings when I interviewed in the Bay Area. Now that I work here I think maybe it’s just that cishet people don’t really notice or comment on the people around them.

Queer community is so ready to say what they love about your presentation 👀

I keep wanting to play more cairn, because climbing a scenic mountain is cool, but then I have to actually engage with cairns mechanics which is… tedious? I’m conflicted about whether or not im enjoying myself.

How do you politely ask white men in their 50s if they know they’re allowed to trim their eyebrows?

If I gotta look at your face, you gotta look closer at your face. And I dunno, do a little maintenance. To be kind to yourself.

Have hobbies. Hobbies of all kinds. Lean into other interests and things you love because they will influence and help you as a comic creator in very surprising ways.

Watching films, reconnecting with nature, doing OTHER art related things. Taking a step back from comics helped me get closer to it.
What advice would you give an aspiring comic creator? - 🦝

I’ve found a new thing to be grumpy and old about: Sando. A sando is a specific style of sandwich, from Japan, with a clear style of preparing bread and filling to meet that style. A sando is not just slang for sandwich. You can’t just get a sando at a deli, there are already 5 words for that.

It took me 18 months to find my job. It took a year of networking and conversations with the recruiter. It took them 4 months from initial contact on this role to being hired. Keeep trying, keep poking and prodding, keep following up.

I don’t know why, but there’s a restaurant on DoorDash out here that has decided to feature videos of their food jiggling to promote their menu. Just a series of 3 second clips of jiggly tofu, soup, mushrooms, etc.

It is not appetizing.

If you have facial hair, I highly recommend a mustache a comb. It just feels nice, and we all could use nice things. I love this one: kentbrushes.com/products/han...

In 2024 and 2025 I was unemployed. It wasn’t so bad in 2024, but in 2025 the charm wore off and a pretty heavy depression started. It wasn’t a great year.

2026 I am 3 months into a great job, and I have moved to a brand new town to do it, accompanied by a partner who stuck with me through 2025.

My favorite feature about AI is now when I search for obscure information I get paragraphs of misinformation and hallucinations instead finding anything useful.

The government should tax every cent made above 10mil and put it all into free housing, healthcare, food, and education. Name everything after whatever not-a-billionaire you took it from, I don’t care. Roads, schools, libraries, apartments, food banks. End homelessness, educate everyone.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

For those who have just left twitter/X and are afraid for their financial security as they try to rebuild, I want to share my experience as it will hopefully provide a bit of comfort.

Earlier this year I ran a Kickstarter. Bsky outperformed Twitter for backers by more than 3x.

Even worse than the 8yo scrolling through children’s YouTube slop all flight was today, the fully grown man who PAID for WiFi to just swipe through football reels for 3.5 hours. Non stop.

Merry Christmas, everypony

I have not had food all day due to a series of flight delays and extra layovers — just running between gates to get back in the air. There is nothing open in Kentucky past 10 and all the normal 24hr spots are closed for Christmas.

But then.

My savior.

WAFFLEHOUSE.

Apparently while I am mentally able to spend 12 hours traveling across country, my knees are not. How do you train your legs for sitting on a plane all day?
December 25, 2025 at 2:51 AM
On a second plane now, delayed again, to get in a third plane to maybe where I’m supposed to go
December 24, 2025 at 9:56 PM
I’ve been trapped on a delayed plane for 1.5 hours now, watching the 8 year old iPad kid in front of me doomscrolling her way through children’s YouTube. It’s bleak, yall.

AI proponents always talk about how it can save humanity and improve our lives, but I’ve never once believed it. However, with recent advances and access to platforms like Sora2, I’ve seen a rise of AI slop take over every video feed to the point that I’ve completely broken my doomscrolling habit.
