You're an engineer. In what discipline other than traffic engineering do engineers get to roll-out deadly designs that result in multiple deaths, countless life changing injuries and massive harm to society, and yet still get to keep their registration? Why do traffic engineers get a free pass?

Cities like Paris are showing that urban greening thru street & place transformation is just COMMON SENSE, for cooling cities that are getting hotter due to the #ClimateCrisis, and for reducing emissions, cleaning the air, and improving quality-of-life!

not sure about that, but around here we have people coming to meetings, chanting "human scale", freaking out about anything over 2 stories and/or more than 1 unit and also demanding more asphalt for freeways and parking lots.

With respect, if cities want scooter riders to ride in designated cycle lanes, they need to build them everywhere. Shaming users for choosing the option that keeps them safer, when the alternative is sharing unsafe streets with speeding multi-ton vehicles, is unhelpful at best & harmful at worst.

It doesn't help when traffic "engineers" insist on counting pedestrian volumes that won't be there until the crosswalk is installed.

"injury crash modeling indicates that a one-foot increase in lane width is associated with a 38.3% increase in the odds of an injury crash on a roadway section"

as for the bikes, why would they cycle there if there's no bike lane?

As a driver, I enjoy being able to see if traffic is coming around the corner.
