Look I like Kei cars, in fact I’ve owned 2. That said, other than urban environments and farm use, they aren’t a choice for America: Sharing the road with 3-ton Suburbans won’t work. Do we really have to react to every fleeting thought this idiot has?

All in all, it feels like America was great when we had serious, educated accountable leaders trying to move the country forward as the head of the free world under an established system of order, norms and laws, and accepting a free press as a legitimate thorn that kept them close to task. Just me.

With an eye on the upcoming 2026 midterm elections, several States have in recent months redrawn their congressional districts in ways that are predicted to favor the State's dominant political party. Texas adopted the first new map, then California responded with its own map for the stated purpose of counteracting what Texas had done.
North Carolina followed suit, and other States are also considering new maps.
Respondents in this case challenged the new Texas map, contending that the legislature's motive was predominantly racial. A divided three-judge District Court agreed and enjoined the use of the new map in the 2026 elections. With the 2026 campaign underway, the State of Texas and several of its officials applied to this Court for a stay.

Quite breathtaking story - military grade drones at Dublin airport which flew on the path Zelensky's plane took. The drones reached the flight path of his plane exactly the time it should have been there, but just missed it because Zelensky arrived ahead of schedule:

Somehow a wiring harness for the passenger seat and airbag on my Audi failed. It’s under warranty, but the harness is on backorder and with tariffs would be $1500, plus $700 in labor. I took the seat out, pulled the harness, spent an hour making a new one and it’s done. Car costs are out of control
