Asking “how is this economics?” at slide 2 is a close second

Hi Oli. The issue is still there, I have sent several technical details to the Bluesky team to help them fix it. Hopefully they will soon!

You managed to solve the great Threads MAU mystery, congrats!

I have a similar-ish experience here in France

I stopped teaching in 2018, and resumed in 2023

In 2023, I only had a few students, so it is difficult to draw any conclusion

But if I compare 2024 and 2025 to pre-pandemic student habits, to me, they are undistinguishable

I am not making predictions here, my point is rather than the success of the US interfering in Europe is far from guaranteed

Non-far-right parties can, and likely will, raise the salience of US' interference in Europe, which may damage the far right's prospects even further

“Is the US a threat to Europe?” has become a legitimate question

(This is not a prediction, this is simply what I suspect is the most plausible scenario as of now)

My current suspicion is that in ten years, the US will more or less look like the UK today

Brexit also destroyed the economic foundations of the UK. The effects took time to materialize, but they have now become very real and will be hard to reverse.

To elaborate on Ulrike’s point, the clearest loser of these changes is the US

The Trump administration has been undermining the foundations of US power, which will inevitably have consequences for the US

The real question is the extent and the timing of these consequences, which we cannot know yet
US national security strategy.
Something sure is unrecognisable here, but it’s not Europe.
