These companies want robot slaves and don’t care if everything they do is bad for people and the planet. They cannot fail fast enough.
"All of this falls apart if humans don't adopt the tech. This is why you've seen Meta cram its lame chatbots into WhatsApp and Instagram. This is why Notepad and Paint now have useless Copilot buttons on Windows. This is why Google Gemini wants to "help you" read and reply to your emails."
Analysis: OpenAI is a loss-making machine, how can it survive?
Don't call it a bubble! Loss-making monster OpenAI is on the hook for $1.4 trillion (with a T) in compute commitments. How can this go on?

Leak the Epstein Files

Even commenters on Fox News are losing their minds over this, which is surprising. If congressional Dems aren’t a total mess, they need to ask about this in between Epstein coverage and not let it go.
WHOA. Trump says he will pardon Juan Orlando Hernandez, who once said that he wanted to “shove the drugs right up the noses of the gringos.” He had people killed as part of his narco-trafficking ring, which he at times operated directly out of his presidential office.

Fuck “release the files”
Leak the files, it’s the only way we’ll ever see the whole story

Not really a jazzhead but this album always blows me away. Plus the album artwork is second to none!

Can’t make this stuff up
absolutely incredible -- CNN host introduces a segment about Trump's "new healthcare proposal," but less than two minutes later breaks into her script to announce "breaking news" that Trump's healthcare proposal is being postponed

I don’t understand, what mummy did he fuck to make all this happen, why is the curse on us and not him, why hasn’t it killed him yet?

This is a very dangerous moment. Trump is trapped on Epstein, bleeding support, and taking fire from his own party, all while his health and mental capabilities are collapsing.

The people advising him are unpatriotic and incompetent.

Expect him to lash out in the most destructive ways possible.

Let me tell you about the other Epstein files the Trump administration is STILL HIDING — records that aren’t affected by the bill Congress passed today.

This is pretty amazing. This guy just won a solid victory in Bucks County, PA, one of the most important swing counties in the country, by *explicitly and deliberately* making his race *all about* nationalizing ICE raids. Confirms the point about this now being a winning issue for Dems.

Trump's illegal murders in the Caribbean just got worse. An internal DOJ memo on the bombings says the victims are waging war on the US, but per NYT, it extensively cites the WH's *own claims* to this effect as evidence!

It gets even darker than that. 1/

Seattle media, tonight, is going as close as possible to saying Katie Wilson won the mayoral race — without phrasing it as entirely final. (Which is all very defensible at this stage.)

Seattle is shaping up to be the left's second big mayoral win, a sort of West Coast companion to NYC.

What’s described in this thread are crimes against humanity and repulsive to any decent person. The people perpetrating these crimes should be locked away forever. This is pure, unmitigated evil.
A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

Two competing thoughts on the mad dash for AI investment:

1. These companies are simply Underpants Gnomes

2. The central promise of AI is that companies will replace human employees with digital slaves, with all associated moral peril and risk of rebellion

A pattern is developing where everyone who fights back against a Trump attack inevitably wins with their reputation much better than before, and everyone who caves to him looks like shit and has Trump coming back for more a month later.
