While I think that eligibility limits are an important part of what makes college sports what they are, I do think that the powers that be should be able to designate one player per sport at any given time who has "that dawg in them" and is allowed to compete indefinitely

On the one hand, I get everyone talking about how conferences are too big now, but divisions don't solve the problem of bad teams in conference championship games either. 6-6 UCLA went to the 2011 Pac-12 CCG

Miami can still make the ACC championship game if Jim Phillips has the courage
This might be an unpopular take ... but if I'm the ACC and Cal upsets SMU, I override the tiebreakers and put Miami in the ACC championship game against Virginia.
