This week I am training & paying two young single mothers of toddler aged kids to do home renovations - flooring removal & substrate prep, some cosmetic grout staining, & re-caulking a shower surround
I could pay skilled laborers but this is even more satisfying than I thought it would be.

Ok, we’re not done-done (behold our painters tape showing where the studs are) & the finished boards for filling the side gaps is en route - but the cabinets I assembled are hung in the laundry nook. Not pictured is the drywall patch we hung where we took out the walls to open up a laundry closet.

You’d have to be depressingly bland to even be most people‘s cup of tea. My favorite tea is aggressively cinnamon-y black tea.

The other one still has a clamp where I’m gluing down a split that happened on the inside of the door when I drilled the upper hole for the handle. Not sure what happened, but I do think the glue is gonna do it.

Just finished assembling cabinets for hanging in the laundry nook. There’s another one just like it. Adding handles is so stressful, drilling holes through brand new doors.
