Honest mistakes happen, esp if you're not a giant nerd (like me) who has multiple pressings to compare. But it blows my mind how folks push back even when I say I have these copies in hand, and yes, they are different. Maybe I need to change my avatar to something gender-neutral... *sigh*

Oh, I just remembered the most hilarious example of this, when the label owner himself ended up weighing in.

I just got back from the SoDo store. Let’s just say I’m glad I took the bus.

Love this. I ordered sooo many records from Ajax—both the label and the distro—back in the day. Tim’s record blurbs in the Ajax catalog were essential reading.

Harriet Records
I ran Harriet Records between 1989 and 1998 out of Cambridge, MA. There are 16 "new" releases so far, most recently a CD by Hussy and the debut CD by The Lookout Honeys. Out now: the third CD by The E...

This woman was wearing a bright yellow argyle cardigan w/sharp-chopped, fluorescent green hair, one of many excellent styles on display.

Also, someone complimented my style and said I reminded them of Poison Ivy of The Cramps. I’ll take it!

Fascinating session today with former Washington Post editorial cartoonist @anntelnaes.bsky.social in conversation w/ @bretthamil.bsky.social, covering her background in animation thru to her time at the Post and how she came to leave the paper.

Clever! There was a McTells record they put on Bandcamp last year. All new songs, still excellent: mctells.bandcamp.com/album/mix-up-2
