Got blocked for saying that games are expensive and a lot of the people buying them are poor. From two guys who work in video games. Gaming has become so toxic toward its own customers. Many of the people who make games hate themselves and the people who buy their stuff. What a pathetic existence.

Worst part of game price discourse is it’s not even clear that raising prices will lead to higher revenues. The main reason I don’t support raising prices is because I suspect it will lead to LOWER revenues as fewer people buy the game, a large enough reduction to wipe away the gains from pricing.

Godot 4.4 has a bug where the ResourceLoader just fails half the time and it’s been there for a month now unfixed. I only updated begin with to fix a physics bug with particles 😖

Godot 4.4 has a bug where the ResourceLoader just fails half the time and it’s been there for a month now unfixed. I only updated begin with to fix a physics bug with particles 😖

The majority of all games ever released were made as self funded passion projects. The investor driven corporate games industry is the exception not the rule. You don’t need to engage with that side of the field if all you want to do is make a video game.
