This is embarrassing, uncritical pr puff for the imaginary scheme, presumably because one of the two people who are behind it used to work at the Guardian. I did more interrogation in my pithy thread on it a few weeks ago than the author did in this shallow 'article'.

broke: "DOGE failed"
woke: "DOGE succeeded"
bespoke:"DOGE ruined the incredibly competent USDS service in ways that will be extremely hard to fix"

I don’t remember a sponsored CicLAvia like this before, believe it’s the first time

CicLAvia is also at risk of losing their funding, last I heard

One great thing about connecting with/being in the autistic community is when we have hobbies & interests, we don’t hold back 😹

I’d start the first piece about 1/2 -3/4 sheet width from the corner or in the center of the wall, depending on your pattern

Having 2 people also really helps (my first attempt was solo, was not great)

A decorative molding piece at the top (& floor) can hide a multitude of sins

The key is to use a flat edge to smooth out the bubbles as you go, let gravity work in your favor, spend time mapping out the pattern & a precise vertical guideline for the first piece

Don’t start at the corner, there’s little chance the ceiling or floor are 90 degrees from the corner or parallel
