What I'd like to see? Warning this will get long and opinionated. Also as I'm preempting this with 'these are my opinions' and you are welcome to disagree and to have your own thoughts. That's fine, attacks/arguing are not.
- No more rushing. Let zones and characters cook properly. Give people time to actually get to know these characters and places and care about what happens to them. Every expansion where you have let a place cook properly has hit harder than when you bum rush through it. Impacts on npcs are so much more meaningful when you actually let people get to know them. Get a vibe for them and their motivations and then get hit with the impact of whatever has happened. - Limit your nostalgia baiting. Side quests? 8 man raids? Alliance raids? Fine, but stop making the main meat and potatoes of your story/expansions be 'Hey here's this thing you loved from FF(insert number here) but shoved in here and hamfisted in to fit this world.' Nods to the other games are a fun touch, but your story should stand alone on it's own two feet and not rely on catering to x, y or z from another beloved installment of the FF Franchise. - Fix. Housing. Yes I realize this is really broad but there's a LOT wrong with housing right now and frankly the fact you guys can't even do free float or a z axis movement despite it being possible is lazy on your parts. Also give up this idea of 'communities' in wards. Let everyone just have a fucking house at this point for fucks sake. I have gripes about the 'my sub is my mortgage' shit too especially when you tout that 'oh you can unsub and take time to play other things' when you really can't. Unsub? Lose that house you suffered like hell to get. - Following that, quit promising shit as a way to bait people to keep staying and then 2 years later we still don't have it but 'It's coming I promise.' Or the ever popular 'Please look forward to it.' (House interior size I'm looking at you. Yes, I know there are technical/code limitations. Don't promise shit until you've gotten the majority of those issues sorted and it's within a feasible timeline. Yes, stuff can always pop up late in the game but you know your hardware, you know your code, how you failed to … - If you do another Eureka/Bozja/etc then actually don't murder it early like you did with Occult Crescent. The entire second stage of the relic was not involving OC at all except going to the Phantom Village for the quests. Light grind everywhere but where the it should be? Yes, leave an option for it and without it but fucks sake leave an option for one or the other. (Also y'all really fucked up on Forked Tower.) Also where are the duels? Where is the extra fun engagement we had with Eureka and Bozja? Where is the community waiting to pull something because it couldn't spawn again for x amount of time so people were courteous. Seriously OC is fun, to a small degree but it's also a glorified running/returning/running/returning simulator if you aren't gold farming. - A return to actual fantasy gear. Please stop rehashing the exact same modern outfits and sets over and over and over. On that note? Dungeon gear. Make it dyeable. You have no reason to not make it dyeable especially if you're implementing it fresh into the game.
