"Obviously, you want to play, but my priority here is doing whatever anybody needs me to do. I'm good to get back-to-back starts, but whenever my name is called next, I'll be ready."

Brandon Bussi, humbly, on the chance to start and win two in a row for the #Canes.

Rod Brind'Amour's post-win review of Brandon Bussi:
December 1, 2025 at 1:34 AM
Brandon Bussi and Devin Cooley were both great for their respective teams tonight.

Post-game, the #Canes netminder said that the two are buddies and have trained together over the last few summers, making his first shutout a little sweeter.

"I'm pumped to be one up on him now."

"Any time you can get a shutout, it's a big team effort. I think we did a great job again, kind of like last game, minimizing their shots and their volume. And if I was needed, I came up with it."

Brandon Bussi comes up big in the third period again.

A massive breakaway stop on Matt Coronato.

Loved the late-period chance Alexander Nikishin created for himself. 🔥

Just two shots for the Flames through the first 14:41.

Inconsistent workloads aren't always an easy task for netminders, but Brandon Bussi was ready for the latest one, a two-on-one chance off the tape of Blake Coleman.

After a turnover in the offensive zone, Shayne Gostisbehere gets on his horse and makes up for it on the backcheck.

Great effort.

Rod Brind'Amour says pre-game that the #Canes will go with Brandon Bussi again today vs. Calgary.

It's the first time the team is going back-to-back with the 27-year-old, who is 6-1 to start his NHL career.

Rod Brind'Amour was asked by /RyanHenkel_ if Brandon Bussi has earned a chance at an extended look, or maybe a couple of games in a row, in the crease:

"Yeah, for sure. We've kind of thrust him into some weird situations. He doesn't know when he's starting based on the health of the other (1/2)

Moving to 15-7-2 last night, the #Canes are right back to work today, practicing at Lenovo Center.

Jordan Staal (illness) is on the ice. That's a good sign for his availability tomorrow vs. Calgary.

Jesperi Kotkaniemi continues to work in his yellow no-contact sweater.

Brandon Bussi, after picking up his sixth victory in his seventh NHL start -

"It's hard to win in this league, right? There's a lot of great talent out there. 6-1 is more of a reflection of the team than one individual, but overall, I'm pretty pumped."

Jordan Martinook on Seth Jarvis:

"He's a gifted goal-scorer. Whenever he gets a chance around the net, usually good things happen. I'm just super happy for him.

He's an incredible guy, great teammate, and great guy to be around, and he leads us usually every night."

Thanks, Jordan Martinook and Seth Jarvis.

Nice job by K'Andre Miller to put it in front of his moving man.

Jarvis now has three multi-goal games this season.
November 29, 2025 at 12:36 AM
William Carrier put in some work below the goal line to bring the play to life just moments prior.

A huge goal at a huge point in the game.

Brandon Bussi makes a massive breakaway save on Kyle Connor in the third period!

The "BUS-SI" chants from the Lenovo Center crowd that followed were incredible. 👏
