Nikolaj Ehlers, overtiiiiiiiiiime winner!

The #Canes beat the Flames, 1-0!
December 1, 2025 at 12:36 AM
Done with 60 minutes at Lenovo Center. Still 0-0!

This has been a chess match.

Carolina is 4-2 in OT this season, while Calgary is 2-3.
December 1, 2025 at 12:36 AM
3:24 to go in regulation and it's still a 0-0 game.

Anyone have a strong hunch who wins this?
December 1, 2025 at 12:35 AM
Brandon Bussi comes up big in the third period again.

A massive breakaway stop on Matt Coronato.
December 1, 2025 at 12:19 AM
40 minutes down, 20 (or more) to go. Still 0-0.

It's a game of "don't make a mistake."

The #Canes continue to spend time in Calgary's end, but are being held to the perimeter well.

Meanwhile, Calgary's best chances have been an occasional breakaway or odd-man rush.

Loved the late-period chance Alexander Nikishin created for himself. 🔥

Done with 20 minutes at Lenovo Center. Still 0-0.

Just nine total shots, 6-3 in favor of the #Canes.

The home side dominated the territorial portion of things.
November 30, 2025 at 11:01 PM
Just two shots for the Flames through the first 14:41.

Inconsistent workloads aren't always an easy task for netminders, but Brandon Bussi was ready for the latest one, a two-on-one chance off the tape of Blake Coleman.

After a turnover in the offensive zone, Shayne Gostisbehere gets on his horse and makes up for it on the backcheck.

Great effort.

Rod Brind'Amour says pre-game that the #Canes will go with Brandon Bussi again today vs. Calgary.

It's the first time the team is going back-to-back with the 27-year-old, who is 6-1 to start his NHL career.

Jordan Staal (illness) is likely to play for the first time in a week.
November 30, 2025 at 8:00 PM
Seth Jarvis enters Sunday's play tied for fifth among NHL skaters with his 15 goals.

The only players with more are Nathan MacKinnon (20), Morgan Geekie (20), Kirill Kaprizov (17), and Sidney Crosby (16).

Bradly Nadeau (2G, 1A) had three points this afternoon, playing a critical role in the Wolves’ win.

Domenick Fensore (2A) and Felix Unger Sorum (1G, 1A) also had multiple points, on top of a 23/24 performance from Amir Miftakhov.

Rod Brind'Amour was asked by /RyanHenkel_ if Brandon Bussi has earned a chance at an extended look, or maybe a couple of games in a row, in the crease:

"Yeah, for sure. We've kind of thrust him into some weird situations. He doesn't know when he's starting based on the health of the other (1/2)

PP1: Aho, Ehlers, Jarvis, and Svechnikov with Gostisbehere

PP2: Blake, Hall, and Stankoven with Nikishin and Walker

K'Andre Miller is doing PK work today.

Moving to 15-7-2 last night, the #Canes are right back to work today, practicing at Lenovo Center.

Jordan Staal (illness) is on the ice. That's a good sign for his availability tomorrow vs. Calgary.

Jesperi Kotkaniemi continues to work in his yellow no-contact sweater.

Following his hat trick, Seth Jarvis now has 15 goals in 24 games.

The only player in #Canes team history (since relocation) to reach 15 goals in fewer games was Eric Staal (21 games in 2005-06).

Brandon Bussi, after picking up his sixth victory in his seventh NHL start -

"It's hard to win in this league, right? There's a lot of great talent out there. 6-1 is more of a reflection of the team than one individual, but overall, I'm pretty pumped."

Seth Jarvis after his monster night...

"I've just been focused on shooting pucks more... My confidence hasn't wavered. I still believe every shot should go in. It's been that way all season, and hopefully it continues."

Rod Brind'Amour called ⤵️ save "the biggest play of the game."

"It could've went in, then you're down, and things might have been different. I thought that was the turning point for us."

Jordan Martinook on Seth Jarvis:

"He's a gifted goal-scorer. Whenever he gets a chance around the net, usually good things happen. I'm just super happy for him.

He's an incredible guy, great teammate, and great guy to be around, and he leads us usually every night."

W!

Seth Jarvis records a hat trick against his hometown team, and Brandon Bussi stops 13/14 to earn a 5-1 victory over the Jets.

A great Black Friday in Raleigh.

That's the young man's second career hat trick, and his team-leading 15th of the season.
