@jondennis.bsky.social Hi Jon… I was not prepared at all! I got used to it eventually. Rediscovered that article when looking for a pic to illustrate. I hope I wasn’t too rude about your band, I tried to write the gigs up without hindsight.

The unique Tower House at 53 Park Row, Nottingham which dates from 1827-33, probably designed by architect, Peter Frederick Robinson & built by William Paterson for the 4th Duke of Newcastle, Henry Pelham Clinton. It was altered in 1860 by architect, Thomas Chambers Hine & raised & altered in /1

I'm thrilled that Upon A White Horse is going to be Radio 4's Book Of The Week. The first episode, which is on Stonehenge, will be on December 8 at 11.45am – and then there will be a reading from a different part of the book every day up to and including December 12. I hope you'll enjoy listening.

A blue plaque & the inside of Nottingham Midland Station. Designed in 1904 by Albert Edward Lambert & Charles Trubshaw for the Midland Railway Company. Constructed in Neo-Baroque style with a mixture of red brick terracotta & glazed terracotta with slate & glazed pitch roofs /1
