The 1986 cover art makes this look like the odd “sport/humour” books that made up my dad’s meagre bookshelf when I was a kid. J.L. Carr truly unpredictable! @backlisted.bsky.social #MonkeyTonks

@jondennis.bsky.social Hi Jon… I was not prepared at all! I got used to it eventually. Rediscovered that article when looking for a pic to illustrate. I hope I wasn’t too rude about your band, I tried to write the gigs up without hindsight.

Have your say about the future of the Torquay Pavilion. Torbay Council are running an online public consultation to gather views about the future "viable, sustainable uses" for the Grade II listed Pavilion. The cut-off for comment is 25th January. Survey here: bit.ly/453wnFz

There must be an efficient way to bring back decent and thorough events listings. So many crappy apps, someone should be able to make that work?
(Going to see a band I like) this is a cool room. I hope they start to constantly email me about every single event that goes on in here.

Just successfully (🤞) took my TV remote control apart, degunked and fixed the stuck buttons. Hope this bodes well for the rest of the year. Thanks to expired Art Fund card for being my spudger. #spudger (Household gunk - yuck)

Unbelievably, #DuvetKnowItsChristmas generates such good will on social media that over the years we've raised somewhere approaching a quarter of a million quid for homeless charities. If you can spare a bob or two, sling some to Centrepoint, and here's the link: www.gofundme.com/f/duvet-know...
