an eccentric
I made stew last night in a pot on the stove instead of in the slow cooker because I didn't have 4 hours to wait and I hadn't done it that way in uhhh years? and I'm honestly shocked that it came out great.

I can see why YouTube is so popular during the day. Reading social media leaves me feeling despair, for the most part. Facebook and Instagram are full of AI slop. On YouTube I can watch real people cooking dinner or cleaning their house and just relax.

He's still SO fucking jealous of President Obama. 😂😂😂
Not the sort of letter committed to paper by a well man. "Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace"

Fascinating data and stories here. It's remarkable that houses were so much cheaper to build in the days of unionized construction—which is another way of saying that, even with labor costs at lower levels today, overall costs remain high because of land use rules.

Stephen Pittman, a 19-year-old man accused of setting fire to Jackson’s only synagogue, Beth Israel, declared that “Jesus Christ is lord” after the judge asked him if he understood his rights in federal court today.

I forgot to buy a new planner for 2026 and looked at Target and Office Depot and couldn't find anything I liked so I gave up and just bought a plain black one for $9.99. Happy New Year. 🤷‍♀️

I finished it and honestly, it's like a nightmare. It gave me nightmares. It's a horror book, like a Stephen King novel.

My constant refrain: If you're winning so much and not losing anything, why do you still live on my couch?
One thing I really hated about my BIL living with us was how much he brags about winning money on gambling apps. It's bullshit (he never mentions when he loses money, but he must lose money sometimes! nobody only wins at gambling!) and I don't want my kids hearing it!

It's been a week and even I had no idea how much better things would be after he moved out. We're like newlyweds again! 🥰
✨ HE MOVED OUT! ✨

After NINE YEARS and three months he MOVED OUT and took all his shit and my living room is SO MUCH CLEANER and QUIETER! It is GLORIOUS!
I'm so fed up with having my kindness and hard work exploited by rotten, selfish people!

I'm still mad at Apple TV for taking the Charlie Brown holiday specials away.

Every time I read the statistic that most Americans have fewer than three friends, I feel like not such a degenerate for going to the bar and hanging out with people.

Finally got to watch (the first two episodes so far of) the new King of the Hill and frankly the animation looks like shit and Dale's new voice actor doesn't sound like him but aside from that, it's alright.
